The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, June 26, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt, Supv. Dunkel, and Supv. Enabnit.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
The Board noted the wage increase for CountyAttorney employee Jewel Flood from $15.50 to $17.50 per hour effective June 19, 2006.Marilyn Dettmer, CountyAttorney, also requested the Board consider allowing her to hire a temporary person until she is able to get a full-time person hired for the vacancy in her office.This is on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting.
The Board discussed a letter from Judith O’Donohoe regarding unpaid claims for a township trustee.Action will be taken on this on Tuesday.
The Board noted the receipt of a letter from the Iowa Utilities Board regarding the Supervisor’s objection regarding a 69,000 nominal voltage electric transmission line proposed by MidAmerican Energy Company in FloydCounty.
The Board noted the Chairman’s approval of contract #5887CO34 for Local Public Health Services which was approved by the Iowa Department of Public Health for funding beginning July 1, 2006.

Ken Mahler, Emergency Management Coordinator, was recognized for his years of service and received best wishes for his retirement effective June 30, 2006.
A motion was made by Supervisor Enabnit and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
