The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, August 7, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt and Supv. Enabnit; absent:Supv. Dunkel.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 2-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
Brian Currie, MidAmerican Energy representative, explained the details for the need of an easement for the Conservation shed property located in the NW¼ of Sec 2 Twp 95N, Rge 16W.The Board will act on the MidAmerican Energy Option for Electrical Line Easement at tomorrow’s regular meeting.
The Auditor presented a quote for telephone services, switching from McLeod to Qwest.The County can save close to $10,000 annually between local, advanced and long distance services.
The Auditor discussed a time and material quote from Wubbens Electric for 4th floor electrical work not to exceed $6,200.The Auditor will proceed with getting this work completed.
The Board noted the resignation of Barb McKinstry, Conservation Naturalist and County Weed Commissioner, effective July 28, 2006.
The Board discussed the replacement for Weed Commissioner.
The Board noted a wage increase from $18.54 to $19.54/hour for Diana Swartzrock, RN for PH/HHC effective August 6, 2006.
Randy Janssen, Janssen Waterproofing, updated the Board on the west exterior wall repairs. Janssen will notify the Board of additional costs for work that he feels needs to be done at this time that was not originally in the bid.The Board may choose to act on this issue at tomorrow’s regular meeting.
