The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for regular session at on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt, Supv. Dunkel and Supv. Enabnit.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to approve the October 23, 24, 30 and November 6, 2006 minutes. Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the following claims:County #1349-1614, Secondary Roads #18641-18685, and MH-DD #56847-56862.Motion carried 3-0.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to tentatively approve the Agreement Regarding Distribution of Revenues Received Electronically Through the Iowa Tax and Tags Portal for Internet Services Between the Floyd County Treasurer, Floyd County Board of Supervisors, and the Polk County Treasurer at the recommendation of the Treasurer and pending approval of the CountyAttorney and authorize the Chairman to sign accordingly.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve Chris Garden to use the north parking lot for fireworks display on December 1 in conjunction with the Christmas parade.Motion carried 3-0.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to release the 10-year lien for Nita Hedrick.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve to pay up to $460.14 for the barricades on 2499 185th Street and to pay for this out of the CountyEngineer’s budget.Motion carried 3-0.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to approve the 2-year Floyd County Deputy Sheriff’s Association contract for July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2009.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board noted the letter received from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources regarding the DNR involvement in Animal Feeding Operation Site Surveys – Master Matrix.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to approve the Application for Approval of Underground Construction on Floyd County Right of Way from Omnitel Communications from Charles City limit north on Shadow then west on 155th St per the recommendation of the County Engineer.Motion carried 3-0.
Dusty Rolando, CountyEngineer, discussed a permit for right of way for VeraSun reflecting the discharge of utility water and required signatures of adjacent land owners.Rolando distributed Foreman’s minutes.Rolando received a written confession from the person who drove approx 600 feet on the wet concrete on the road to the ethanol plant.Plans on fixing the problem and possible prosecution of the driver are in the works.Rolando notified the Board of problems on the 110th St bridge.
The hearing regarding disposition of parcel of land, approx .34 acres, in Sec 10, Twp 95N, Rge 17W, known as the Ulster Township Shed opened at 10:00 a.m.There were no written or oral objections to the sale of the property prior to the hearing.Two attendees of the meeting were asked if they had objections or comments to make.There was no discussion.The hearing was closed at Dunkel/Enabnit moved to sell the parcel of land, approx .34 acres, in Sec 10, Twp 95N, Rge 17W, known as the Ulster Township Shed, the LP tank with its contents and the pump with its contents to Harold and Bonnie Jo Marth for $3,000 with the County paying for updating the abstract.Motion carried 3-0.
A motion was made by Supervisor Enabnit and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
