The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Tuesday, March 5, 2007 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Dunkel, Supv. Enabnit, and Supv. Staudt.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to amend the agenda to include discussion regarding courthouse Security cameras, discussion regarding letter from the DNR Finance and Business Section, and discussion regarding 2nd St property building insurance.Motion carried 3-0.Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the agenda as amended.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board noted the six-month probationary period pay rate increase for Kathy Feuling, PH/HHC RN, from $18 to $19 per hour effective March 5, 2007.
The Board noted the Inter-Tel Maintenance Agreement for the telephone system at the DHS building.The Board may consider not having a maintenance agreement in future years.
The Board noted the FY 2006 Floyd County Independent Auditors’ Report Basic Financial Statements and Supplementary Information Schedule of Findings and Questioned Costs Report.
The Board noted the Floyd County Adopt-A-Highway Extension Request for the Marble Rock First Responders.
The Board reviewed a letter from Judge Gerald Magee regarding placement of the security cameras that will be purchased with the Homeland Security grant money.Supv Dunkel will visit with the Sheriff about relocating a camera from the original plan or adding an additional camera to the quote.
The Board discussed a letter from the Department of Natural Resources regarding enhancements of the department.Supv Dunkel will follow up with the scrap tire program.
The Board discussed discontinuing the insurance on the 2nd Street property buildings with the exception of the green building.The Auditor will follow up with this with People’s Insurance.
Wayne Koehler, Randy Heitz, and Chuck Souder, Farm Bureau representatives, spoke with the Board about the FY08 budget.The county budget hearing is set for March 13 at
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
