The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at on Monday, May 7, 2007 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Dunkel, Supv. Enabnit, and Supv. Staudt.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to amend the agenda to include discussion regarding the Rudd gas station conference phone call and discussion regarding the Engineer’s wage contract.Motion carried 3-0.Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the agenda as amended.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
The Veterans Affairs Commission and Marci Hall-Jacobson, Veterans Administrator, reviewed the grant application to match $10,000 expenses including transportation, utilities, schooling, and VIMS program.The Board will act on this at tomorrow’s regular meeting.
The Board discussed transferring money from the Health Plan to the General Supplemental Fund.Nothing will be done at this time but we will monitor the balance in the Health Plan fund.
The Board noted the fees collected from the Clerk of Court.
The Board noted the receipt of a Resolution of the Board of Directors of Hawkeye Community College (Merged Area VII) levying a tax for the purpose of paying principal and interest on Industrial New Jobs Training Certificates.
The Board discussed the Engineer’s wage contract for FY08.The FY07 contract was signed last June.
The Board discussed a May 15 conference call regarding the former Grun’s Service station in Rudd.The conference call is in regard to corrective action on the ground contamination.
Future agenda items:Supervisor’s position on Emergency Management and E911 administration responsibilities.
A motion was made by Supervisor Enabnit and seconded by Supervisor Staudt to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
