Floyd County Board of Supervisors Meeting

July 2, 2007, 8:00 AM


The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a special meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:  Chairman Dunkel and Supv. Staudt; Absent:  Supv. Enabnit.

Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried 2-0.

The Board conducted the end of the year cash count for FY07.

The June 26 Emergency Management Commission minutes were not available to note the FY08 wage increase for the Director.    

The Board noted the hiring of Jessica Sargent as a jailer beginning June 28, 2007 with a starting wage of $10.74 which will be increased to $11.74 after she is state certified.

The Board noted the receipt of a letter from Tim Fox, Charles City Area Development Corp, regarding the progress of the Allied Land Development projects.  The CCADC and Allied are asking for the Board’s consideration in facilitating a project for the Allied Sixth Addition with nine new single family dwellings.  The infrastructure construction start date is August 21 and housing construction is expected to start September 15.

A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.  Motion carried 2-0.
