The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at on Monday, July 9, 2007 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Dunkel, Supv. Enabnit and Supv. Staudt.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board noted the fees collected from Clerk of Court for May and June and from the Recorder and Auditor for the quarter ending June 30, 2007.
The Board noted the receipt of the June 26, 2007 Emergency Management Commission meeting minutes reflecting a $1,000 wage increase effective May 20 and a 3% increase effective July 1, 2007 for the Emergency Management Director.A payroll adjustment will need to be made to make the $1,000 increase effective retroactive to the 6-month review date.
The Board discussed member terms that have ended for Conservation, Veteran Affairs and Zoning Boards.Supv Dunkel will contact Jim Thompson regarding who from the Chamber is replacing Karen Schwade on the Central Iowa Tourism Council.
Future agenda items:1) the transfer of sheriff vehicle/General Fund asset to Emergency Management; 2) Soil and Water Conservation donation; 3) Letter to VeraSun regarding veteranís memorial.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
