Floyd County Board of Supervisors Meeting

July 30, 2007, 9:00 AM


The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:  Chairman Dunkel and Supv. Enabnit; Absent:  Supv. Staudt.

Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried 2-0.

Jed Magee requested the Board’s support to reduce speed on the Avenue of Saints near the City of Floyd.  Magee presented a letter from Nancy Richardson, Director of Iowa Dept of Transportation in reply to his letter to her regarding this issue.  The Supervisors will meet with the Sheriff and take action regarding their position on this issue at a special meeting next Monday. 

Pat Zwanziger, PH/HHC Director, reviewed the PH/HHC budget for FY07.  The PH/HHC agency netted $19,271.69 in more revenues than expenses at the end of the year.  The Supervisors are invited to the September 10 Board of Health meeting where a regional health consultant will present a required public health education program. 

Zwanziger and Bob Lincoln, CPC/Case Management Director, presented a proposal for community service office space, combining several agencies in one building.  

The Board noted the termination of Toni Pieper, Home Health Aide effective June 13, 2007.

Lincoln discussed some mental health concerns and updated the Board on the status of filling the case manager vacancy. 

Lois Litterer, General Assistance, discussed transportation fees with the Board.

A motion was made by Supervisor Enabnit and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.  Motion carried 2-0.
