The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for regular session at on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Supv. Enabnit, Chair Pro-Tem, and Supv. Staudt; Absent: Chairman Dunkel.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 2-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the September 24, 25 and October 1, 2007 minutes.Motion carried 2-0.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the following claims:County 1026-1206, Secondary Roads 10224-10260, MH-DD57396-57417.Motion carried 2-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to continue with the Board of Supervisors, rather than the Board of Health, being the contractor for the Iowa Department of Public Health state grant.Motion carried 2-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the Public Health/Home Health Care Bioterrorism Plan.Motion carried 2-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to purchase three chairs from Storey Kenworthy for $715.52 for the Public Health/Home Health Care Dept.Motion carried 2-0.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to purchase a new computer for $707.93 from Solutions and software for $389.99 from New Egg for the Public Health Care/Home Health Care Dept.Motion carried 2-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the County to pay for flu shot vaccinations for employees.Motion carried 2-0.A clinic for employees and family members will be held on October 18.Employee’s family members will be required to pay $25 per vaccine.
Dusten Rolando, CountyEngineer, reviewed foreman’s meeting minutes.Rolando updated the board on bridge and culvert work being done throughout the county.Check plans for the road to Rockford paving project have been submitted and we are waiting on state for approval.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to accept the resignation of Kennie Troge effective December 31.Motion carried 2-0.Enabnit/Staudt moved to hire Karl Knoke as an Equipment Operator II for the Secondary Roads at $13.83/hour effective October 22, pending post employment offer.Knoke, Operator II, replaces Troge, Operator I.
A motion was made by Supervisor Enabnit and seconded by Supervisor Staudt to adjourn.Motion carried 2-0.
