The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at on Monday, October 15, 2007 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Supv. Enabnit, Chair Pro-Tem and Supv. Staudt; Absent:Chairman Dunkel
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 2-0.
Central Lock started installing the new ADA compliant door hardware on the north entry doors.Janssen Waterproofing was supposed to start moving equipment here last Friday.They should be starting work on the east steps this week.
The Auditor provided an article regarding public use of courthouse grounds written by David Vestal, ISAC General Counsel, and published in the Iowa Counties magazine.Vestal recommends counties have a policy on the use of courthouse grounds for public forums.The Auditor will provide sample policies for the next workshop meeting.
The Auditor discussed a potential insurance claim and which insurance company will cover the claim for an incident that occurred in April but no legal claim has been filed as of today.The Auditor is concerned with the County switching insurance providers July 1 and the current and past provider making statements that they are not liable to cover to claim.
The Board noted the City of Marble Rockís Resolution Approving Development Agreement with Marble Rock Farmers Cooperative, Authorizing Tax Increment Payments and Pledging Certain Tax Increment Revenues to the Payment of the Agreement.
The Board noted the resignation of Jennifer Johnson, Home Health Care Aide, dated October 10, 2007.
A motion was made by Supervisor Enabnit and seconded by Supervisor Staudt to adjourn.Motion carried 2-0.
