The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at on Monday, January 14, 2008 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Enabnit, Supv. Staudt, and Supv. Dunkel.
Dunkel/Staudt moved to amend the agenda to include discussion regarding Community Nursing and NIRHA-alternate board member appointment.Motion carried 3-0.Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as amended.Motion carried 3-0.
Jan Slater, Gardiner-Thomsen Auditor, discussed the FY07 audit with the Board.
The Board discussed a letter from the Iowa Department of Public Health regarding the maximum mileage reimbursement rate for state business increased to $0.39 per mile as of January 1, 2008.This affects what the County will receive for reimbursement for Community Nursing.
The Board discussed the $49,000 offer made for the Public Health/Home Health Care Director and the candidate’s acceptance pending a higher salary, vacation time for this year and a start date of February 18.The Board of Health will need to recommend action for this.
The Board discussed that the suggested candidate for the NIRHA-alternate was not interested.The Deputy Auditor will contact the city clerks in Rockford and Rudd to see if they have any recommendations.
The Board discussed the FY09 budget.
