The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at on Monday, August 4, 2008 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Enabnit and Supv. Staudt; Absent:Supv. Dunkel.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 2-0.
The Auditor notified the Board that TrinityUnitedMethodistChurch is willing to house elections for Charles City Precinct #3.This change is necessary because of the Foster Grandparent Agency relocating permanently to the North Cedar Terrace Community Room due to the flooding at South Cedar Terrace.Approximately 3,000 postcards will be mailed to affected voters prior to the school election.
The Board noted the receipt of two bids for the 1985 Chevy pickup.Brian Chatfield, Chatfield Salvage, had high bid at $513.50.Supv Enabnit signed over the title.
The Board noted the resignation of Janice Maage, PH/HHC Aide, effective July 25, 2008.
Future agenda items:A representative from CentralIowaJuvenileDetentionCenter may request to be on the agenda at a future workshop meeting to discuss their services.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 2-0.
