The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop session at on Monday, October 20, 2008 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Enabnit, Supv. Staudt, and Supv. Dunkel.
Dunkel/Staudt moved to amend the agenda to include discussion regarding Gail Arjes 6-month review.Motion carried 3-0.Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as amended.Motion carried 3-0.
Rick Lynch, Sheriff, David Kelley, Deputy Sheriff, and the Board discussed coverage of a lawsuit.Supv Dunkel suggested that Lynch and Kelley contact Beth Hanson, attorney with EMC Insurance Companies, to check on the status of the claim.
Lynch and the Board discussed law enforcement contracts for small towns.The Sheriff will have the deputies log activity in the towns and report back to the Board on November 3.The Auditor will send notices to mayors of the towns affected to meet on November 3 during workshop.
The Board discussed the 6-month review for Gail Arjes, Public Health/Home Health Care Director.Pat McDonnell, Board of Health Chair, and the Board will complete employee performance appraisals.The Board will discuss this at the next workshop and act on an increase at the next regular meeting.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
