The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at on Monday, October 27, 2008 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Enabnit, Supv. Staudt, and Supv Dunkel.
Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
Brian Albert, Project Manager for Nexant, Inc, called in to the meeting to discuss the EfficiencyPartners Program they have with MidAmerican Energy Company.Albert has reviewed the Technical Engineering Analysis Report that was authored by KPE Engineering for the Iowa Energy Bank Program.Nexant would like to come to the Courthouse and conduct an analysis to provide a more complete study of energy efficiencies.
The Board discussed the 6-month review for Gail Arjes, Public Health/Home Health Care Director.A performance evaluation received from Pat McDonnell, Board of Health Chair, was reviewed and a wage increase was discussed. McDonnell will be attending tomorrow’s meeting with his proposal.
Bridget Moe, Emergency Management Coordinator, informed the Board that the Floyd County Disaster Recovery Team, chaired by Ron Noah and Marilee Monroe, decided that the organization should be incorporated.Moe asked Supv Dunkel sign a document, on behalf of the Emergency Management Commission Chair, that it is agreeable for Emergency Management to participate on the committee.
The Board discussed errors and omission insurance for township trustees and clerks.The Auditor is waiting to hear back from Jim Lane, Jester Insurance, on options for coverage under the county’s policy.
The Board discussed drainage districts and who to contact for clarification on issues in DD#12.The drainage district attorney suggested may have a conflict of interest.
The Board noted the receipt of the 28E Law Enforcement Agreement approved by the City of Rockford.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dunkel and seconded by Supervisor Staudt to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
