The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop session at on Monday, January 5, 2009 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Enabnit, Supv. Staudt and Supv. Dunkel.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to amend the agenda to include noting the hiring of an employee for the Assessorís office.Motion carried 3-0.Dunkel/Enabnit moved to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried 3-0.
The Board reviewed the CountyEngineerís infrastructure projects.Supv Dunkel would like the Engineer to contact Calhoun Burnes on some bridge projects that could possibly be added to the list.
The Board noted the receipt of a letter from Chantelle Smith, Assistant Attorney General, regarding the Countyís responsibility to pay the bills FloydCounty received from FranklinCounty for a case transferred to FranklinCounty from FloydCounty.The Auditor will process the bills for the January 13 claim run.
The Board reviewed vacancies in county boards with terms expiring December 2008.
The Board noted the hiring of Jewel Flood in the Assessorís office beginning January 5, 2009 at a salary of $28,251 per year.
Future agenda items:CountyEngineerís review and FY10 wages.
Tom Kennison inquired about bridge updates on 110th Street and Shadow Avenue.
The Board continued with the FY10 budget review for Public Health, Veteran Affairs, Emergency Management, CPC/Case Management, General Assistance, Sheriff, Conservation, Courthouse, and CountyLibrary.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dunkel and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
