The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for regular session at on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt, Supv. Dunkel, and Supv. Enabnit.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to approve the February 9 and 10, 2009 minutes.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the following claims:County #2357-2540, Secondary Roads #11426-11461, and MH-DD #58334-58376.Motion carried 3-0.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to note that the 28E agreement for County Services Network approved at the February 10 meeting is the same as the Electronic Transaction Clearinghouse 28E agreement between FloydCounty and ISAC.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to authorize Bob Lincoln, CPC/Case Management Director, to obtain general/liability insurance coverage for the CountySocial Services 28E agency.Motion carried 3-0.Lincoln explained allocations between the five counties for growth and community services dollars.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to forgiving the interest and penalty for taxes owed on 360 Network and to authorize the CountyAttorney to negotiate the taxes.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the Agreement Between Floyd County and Floyd County Deputy Sheriff’s Association for July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010.Motion carried 3-0.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to set March 10 at for two public hearings regarding zoning changes for 3.21 acres for Michael Staudt from Ag to R-1 and .2 acres for Jason Parcher from Ag to C-1.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to void a FY08 warrant #60973.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board noted the following updates in the Public Health/Home Health Care Agency:Stacy Engelhardt, PH/HHC RN, completed her six month review and will receive an increase in pay from $18 per hour to $19.00 per hour; Amanda Engels, Home Health Care Aide, has been terminated; Hazel Swenson, Home Health Care Aide, will be transferring from part-time to full-time.
Dunkel/Enabnit moved to approve Resolution #10-09 to Add Locally and FM Funded Project(s) to the Accomplishment Year of the 2009 Five Year Road Program.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the Floyd County Dust Control Policy for May 1, 2009 through the fourth week of October.Motion carried 3-0.
Dusten Rolando, CountyEngineer, and the Board discussed the foreman’s minutes and bridge, road, and patching projects throughout the county.Rolando is getting quotes for a new lab trailer for FloydCounty and a Dura-Patch machine possibly to be purchased and shared between the City of Charles City, ChickasawCounty and FloydCounty.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dunkel and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
