Floyd County Board of Supervisors Meeting
July 1, 2009, 8:00 AM
The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a special meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2009 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance: Chairman Staudt and Supv. Enabnit. Absent: Supv. Dunkel.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to open the meeting and approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 2-0.
The Board conducted the cash count for the end of FY2009 and the beginning of FY2010 in the offices of Recorder, Sheriff and Treasurer.
County Attorney Jesse Marzen and City Administrator Tom Brownlow discussed the Stipulated Settlement Agreement between the City of Charles City, Floyd County and Valero Renewable Fuels Company, LLC. The County Attorney advised the Supervisors to wait and sign the Agreement after the city has signed it first. Enabnit/Staudt moved to table this until Monday, July 6, 2009 at which time they will hold a special meeting.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Iowa Dept of Public Health and Floyd County regarding Substance Abuse Prevention Grant. Motion carried 2-0.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the Fiscal Agent Contract between FMC Empowerment and Floyd County for FY2010. Motion carried 2-0.
The Board noted the hiring of Patrick Shirley as Floyd County Deputy Sheriff beginning Monday, June 29, 2009.
A motion was made by Supv. Enabnit and was seconded by Supv. Staudt to adjourn. Motion carried 2-0.
