Floyd County Board of Supervisors Meeting

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a workshop meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2009, in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance: Chairman Staudt, Supv Dunkel and Supv Enabnit.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 3-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
Gail Arjes, Public Health/Home Health Care Director, updated the Board on a meeting held last week with Bob Lincoln, CPC/Case Management Director, and Next Generation Technologies regarding sharing IT services, servers, record backup, e-mail services and telephone with voice-over IT. Pat McDonnell, Heart to Home Hospice representative and Public Health Board Chair, commented that if any wiring needs to be done that HHH will cover those costs. Arjes should receive cost information today later from Next Generation Technologies and the Board will act on their services at tomorrow’s regular meeting.
Arjes, McDonnell and the Board discussed the proposed Heart to Home Hospice building lease. The Board will act on this at tomorrow’s regular meeting.
Arjes shared information about the H1N1 clinic that will be held tonight at St John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City.
The Board discussed the impact of the State cutting the Homestead Tax Credits. Since tax bills have already been sent, the local levying authorities will be hit by this reduction.
The Board discussed appointments for various county boards/commissions with terms ending December 31.
Future agenda items: FY11 budget workshops starting in January; special meeting on November 2 for action on bids for new GIS aerials; set date and time for canvas of the City Election.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dunkel and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn. Motion carried 3-0.
