Floyd County Board of Supervisors Meeting

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for a special meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009, in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance: Chairman Staudt and Supv Dunkel; Absent: Supv Enabnit.
Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 2-0.
Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the Main Street Challenge Grant for a courthouse brick renovation project and authorize the chair to sign a Letter of Intent to Participate. Motion carried 2-0.
Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the First Amendment to the Children at Home Contract. Motion carried 2-0.
Dunkel/Staudt moved to provide GIS website information for a set time limit to be determined by the auditor for Ohio State University. Motion carried 2-0.
The Board noted $2,790.29 in fees collected from the Clerk of Court for the month of October.
Gail Arjes, Public Health/Home Health Care Director explained changes to the Local Public Health Services Contract including decreases but an overall increase in the contract. Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the amendment to the Local Public Health Services Contract for FY10. Motion carried 2-0.
Arjes mentioned there is clinic tonight for H1N1 vaccinations.
Arjes and the Board visited about putting together a timeline for moving Public Health/Home Health Care to the Hospice building.
The Board noted the receipt of the FY09 Public Health annual report.
Donielle Jarvela, Auxiant Account Rep for Floyd County, and Rachel Cane, new account manager, provided an update on the County’s health/dental insurance plan. Stop loss carriers for next year were reviewed and other benefit options and government exemptions were discussed. Jarvela will get back to the board on a possible reduction to our Flex rate administration fees.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dunkel and seconded by Supervisor Staudt to adjourn. Motion carried 2-0.
