The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for special meeting at on Monday, August 29, 2005 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Enabnit, Supv. Staudt, Supv. Dunkel.Approximately seven people attended the meeting.
Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
County Attorney, Marilyn Dettmer, updated those present that the outcome of Tuesday’s meeting in regard to the Board’s motion not being passed to sign the Indemnification Agreement allowing VeraSun to have access to the property simply means that they decided not to go that route at that time.There is nothing at this point to firm up and take action on today.Dettmer is looking into other alternatives.Dettmer, asked to withdraw her request for action regarding hiring an independent attorney for consulting purpose as it is not needed at this point.Keith Bruinsma, VeraSun Director of Business Development, thanked the Board for their continued support, understands the decision they had to make last week was a difficult one, and VeraSun is looking forward to working with Floyd County.
The Board discussed crop damage on the CountyFarm property.Supv Enabnit will visit with the CountyEngineer to discuss following up with contacting the insurance company and possibly getting an adjustor in to look at the damage.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
