The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for regular session at on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Dunkel, Supv. Enabnit and Supv. Staudt.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the July 26, 27 and August 2, 2010 minutes.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the following claims:County #288-411, Secondary Roads #12704-12742, and MH-DD #59228-59238.Motion carried 3-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the Agreement for Assignment of Tax Sale Certificate between Farmers Feed & Grain Co, Inc and Floyd County with terms of Farmers Feed & Grain paying Floyd County the sum of $8,000 which constitutes a compromise of taxes, interest, special assessments and administrative costs of $400,774.20 and pursuant to securing a waiver of notice per Iowa Code Chapter 447 from the City of Charles City.Motion carried 3-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to set a public hearing for August 24 at 9:30 a.m. for the purposes of reviewing two zoning applications, an application for Carl Knapp, Knapp Diversified, and Vernon Martin, Countryside Construction to rezone 2.83 acres from Ag to C-1 for the purpose of moving Countryside Construction from Mitchell County to 1036 Underwood Ave, and the other application for Kenneth and Sandra Stark to rezone 1.01 acres from Ag to C-1 for the purpose of having a bed & breakfast/quilting retreat and retail fabric store on their property located at 1182 Hwy 18.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve Resolution #20-10 Local Option Sales and Service Tax for purposes of renewing the 1% tax for the unincorporated areas of Floyd County.Motion carried 3-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the Floyd County Workers’ Compensation/Select Provider Program Policy.Motion carried 3-0.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the following physicians/clinics and hospital as Select Providers for workers’ compensation claims:Charles City Family Health, Mercy Family Clinic in Charles City and Rockford, Eagle Family Health and Floyd County Memorial Hospital. Motion carried 3-0.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve an Agreement with the IDOT for Use of Local Agency Roads as Detours (on T38).Motion carried 3-0.
Dusten Rolando, County Engineer, presented foreman’s minutes and his timesheet.Discussion included a tile project on the viaduct west of Charles City, the Shadow Ave project, the Cleveland Ave project, Durapatch projects, a request for a school bus sign north of Marble Rock, Lacoste’s bridge project, and an update on T18 bridge.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
