The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2010 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance: Chairman Dunkel, Supv. Enabnit, and Supv. Staudt.
Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
The Board discussed healthcare reform/Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) changes effective January 1, 2011.Plan amendment notices regarding grandfathering or not grandfathering the changes to the county’s employee health insurance plan need to be distributed to our employees 60 days prior to January 1.The Board will act on this at tomorrow’s regular meeting.
The Board discussed a potential candidate to represent the County on the North Cedar Aviation Authority Commission.This Board will act on this at tomorrow’s regular meeting.
The Auditor updated the Board on the status of the FMC Decat Governance Board Coordination Services.At this time and through June 2011, AEA will continue to be the employer of record.Jan Streich, Coordinator, informed the Auditor that Evan Klink, DHS representative, will likely bring this issue back to Floyd County for consideration at a later date.
The Board noted fees collected for the quarter ending September 30, 2010 by the Auditor, Recorder and Sheriff and fees collected for the month of September by the Clerk of Court.
