The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance: Chairman Dunkel, Supv. Enabnit, and Supv. Staudt.
Staudt/Enabnit moved to amend the agenda to include discussion regarding a Home Health Aide’s deductible for an insurance claim.Motion carried 3-0.Enabnit/Staudt moved to approve the agenda as amended.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
The Board reviewed a list of boards/committees they represent.Each supervisor will provide information regarding frequency, date, time and location of meetings.The completed list will be provided to the incoming supervisors.
The Auditor and the Board discussed alternative care options for the Floyd County Employee Health Care Plan.At this time, no alternative care benefits will be added to the plan due to the uncertainty of increased costs associated with the health care reform mandated changes.
The Board noted the Floyd County Memorial Hospital d/b/a Floyd County Medical Center audit report for the year ending June 30, 2010.
Supv Staudt brought to the attention of the Board a request from a Home Health Aide to pay the deductible on an insurance claim.Discussion included that the mileage reimbursement formula includes costs for gasoline, maintenance, insurance, etc.The Board does not intend to start compensating employees for the deductible.The Board will send a letter to all employees regarding this issue.
Supv Dunkel informed the Board of potential changes to the Mental Health Center services.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
