Floyd County Board of Supervisors Meeting

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for special session at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance: Supv. Kamm and Supv. Kuhn; Absent: Chairman Dunkel.
Kuhn/Kamm moved to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 2-0.
Supv Kuhn attended a NIACOG meeting last week where among other things, they discussed Watershed Authority information.
Kuhn/Kamm moved to approve the plans for the Veterans Memorial expansion and authorize contractors to start work when ready. Motion carried 2-0.
Kuhn/Kamm moved to set a public hearing regarding the Floyd County Comprehensive Plan for October 25 at 9:45 a.m. Motion carried 2-0.
Kuhn/Kamm moved to set a public hearing regarding the Floyd County Zoning Ordinance for October 25 at10:00 a.m. Motion carried 2-0.
Kuhn/Kamm moved to set a public hearing regarding Ordinance 2011-1 Amended – An Ordinance Establishing Voting Precincts of Floyd County for October 25 at 9:10 a.m. Motion carried 2-0.
The Board noted the termination of Melissa Thomas, Home Health Care Aide, effective October 7, 2011.
The Board noted $1,351.39 in fees collected by the Clerk of Court for the month of September.
Future agenda items: The Floyd County Library Association and Elderbridge Agency on Aging representatives have scheduled dates in November to meet with the Board regarding budgeting for FY13.
