The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, November 28, 2005 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Enabnit, Supv. Staudt, and Supv. Dunkel.
Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
Chairman Enabnit has a candidate interested in the Hospital Commission.Supv. Dunkel is still looking into candidates from the Rockford/Nora Springs area.
The Board discussed compensation for township trustees and clerks to conduct work, attend meetings and for mileage.This will be brought up for review/action at the next regular session.
The board discussed a policy regarding a minimum number of people participating in payroll deduction options such as United Way, AFLAC, etc.This will be brought up for review/action at the next regular session.
Mr. Schoonover, Schoonover Tuckpointing should be in town today to look at courthouse building repairs.
Future agenda items:Fair board meet during Supervisors workshop, setting holiday hours for 2006, Veterans Memorial Committee on agenda for December 5, and Supv. Dunkel will visit with ISAC attorney David Vestal about the possibility of setting up an endowment fund.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
