Floyd County Board of Supervisors Workshop Meeting

UNAPPROVED MINUTES

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:  Chairman Enabnit, Supv. Staudt, and Supv. Dunkel.

Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried 3-0.

Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the December 12 and December 19, 2005 minutes.  Motion carried 3-0.

Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the following claims:  County #2065-2212, Secondary Roads #17923-17949 and MH-DD #56374-56411 .  Motion carried 3-0.

Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the HIPPA Exemption Election.  Motion carried 3-0. 

Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the Master Matrix – Construction Evaluation Resolution and have the Chairperson sign.  Motion carried 3-0.

Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the purchase of a duplex, network laser printer to meet the needs of the Home Health/Community Nursing office.  Motion carried 3-0.

Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the public notice regarding the construction permit application for Tri-County for a confinement feeding operation and will review any public comment at the January 10 meeting.  Motion carried 3-0.

Staudt/Enabnit moved to approve the AIG VALIC and Nationwide 457 Deferred Compensation Plans.  Motion carried 3-0.

Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the fiscal agent fee of 3% for Decat with the exception of allowing only charge of 1.5% for the Empowerment money that comes from School Ready Fund and then is paid out of Decat (only one 3% fee will be paid to the County, not 3% from Empowerment and 3% from Decat for the Families Together payments from the School Ready fund).  Motion carried 3-0.

Dunkel/Staudt moved to give the County Engineer the authority to negotiate and sign what he feels is reasonable and proper for Quarry and 185th road work.  Motion carried 3-0. 

The County Engineer discussed Secondary Roads activities, Foreman’s minutes and the cleanup steps with the gas station in Rudd.

Future agenda items:  Endowment funding moneys-meeting tonight per Jim Thompson, a picnic for volunteers; DOT transportation committee meeting regarding the intersection at Floyd is on January 5, at 4 p.m. at the Floyd Community Center, Communications Board will be meeting at 10 a.m. on December 30 regarding Nora Springs ambulance, Home Health Care/Adult Day Care services.

A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.  Motion carried 3-0.
