The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, February 6, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt and Supv. Dunkel; Absent:Supv. Enabnit.
Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 2-0.
Mary Litterer, Foster Grandparents requested that the Board lower the charges for the Andres Park print and continue with the County and Foster Grandparents still taking a 50/50 split.Supv. Dunkel will visit with Litterer.The Board will address this at their next regular meeting.
The Board noted the fees collected from the Clerk of Court for January for Sheriff Fees of $655.32, Sheriff Surcharge $385.49 and Treasurer of $1,139.19.
The Board noted the taxes amended for the list of parcels where Agland Credits were missed on some splits.The Auditor will notify the Treasurer.
The Board noted the hiring of Elizabeth Pierce as a part time Public Health/Home Health Care Aide at $8.40 per hour effective February 3, 2006.
The Board noted the hiring of Diana Swartzrock as a part time RN for Public Health/Home Health Care at $18 per hour effective February 6, 2006.
The Board noted the six-month wage increase for Audrey Sansgard from $18 to $19 per hour effective February 22, 2006.
The Auditor notified the Board of a change in internet service providers effective mid-February.The County will be switching to Mediacom from Netconx.The benefits include faster upload/download for over $50/month less money.
The Auditor notified the Board of a change in telephone maintenance service providers.The County currently uses Inter-tel and will be switching to Hyde Telecom Partners, Inc. at the end of February.The County has a Mitel telephone system and Inter-tel is no longer a Mitel dealer but Hyde Telecom Partners is.The benefit of switching should include faster response time for service.
Future agenda items:setting budget hearing and board taking action on unreserved/designated money for FY07.
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.Motion carried 2-0.
