The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, February 13, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt and Supv. Dunkel; Absent:Supv. Enabnit.
Staudt/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 2-0.
The Board reviewed claims individually prior to the meeting.
The Board reviewed Janet Sternís request for a candidates to serve as a committee person for sharing purchasing opportunities.The Auditor will ask for potential candidates.
The Board discussed having township trustees and clerks come to a workshop on March 13 to discuss wages and the option of appointing these positions instead of electing them.The Auditor will send out notices of the meeting.
The Board noted the receipt of the Floyd-Mitchell-Chickasaw Solid Waste Management Agency Audit report for the year ending September 30, 2005.
The Board reviewed the 25 applications for the Zoning Administrator/911 Addressing/Sanitarian position and a 2005 wage survey.Milligan will provide copies of applications to Pat McDonald, Health Board chair and visit with McDonald about scheduling interviews.Representatives of the Health Board and Board of Supervisors will conduct interviews as soon as possible.
Future agenda items:NACO membership, reporting policies for appointed department heads (i.e. out of office time, compensation time, purchasing limits, etc.)
A motion was made by Supervisor Staudt and seconded by Supervisor Dunkel to adjourn.Motion carried 2-0.
