The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, March 27, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt, Supv. Dunkel, and Supv. Enabnit.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
The Board noted the Public Health/Home Health Care patient services and charge per visit fees for skilled nursing (up approximately $30), physical therapy and occupational therapy (up approximately $15), aides and homemakers (up approximately $10).The new fees will go into affect April 1, 2006.
The Board noted the letter from the Iowa Department of Public Health regarding approval for $2,599 county grants.
The Board noted the letter from the state approving the extension of the FY05 audit to June 30, 2006.The auditors arrived today to complete the audit.
Randy Janssen, Jannsen Waterproofing, showed a video of the problems to the west wall of the courthouse.Janssen will possibly start working on this project in the next few weeks.
The Board noted the Resolution of the Board of Directors of Osage Community School District that provides for a tax levy for the purpose of paying principal and interest on $585,000 General Obligation School Refunding Bonds.
Donielle Jarvella, Auxiant representative, offered to contact Lindy Pearson from NPS to discuss discount prescription program options for indigent persons.NPS recently kicked off a discount program for one county and has another county in the works.The discounts through NPS for indigents would likely be the same discounts through the County’s employee health insurance program with Auxiant.The County is currently receiving an automatic 5% discount at HyVee.
The Board assigned responsibilities to discuss individual performance evaluations with appointed department heads.
