The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, April 24, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt and Supv. Dunkel; Absent: Supv. Enabnit.
Dunkel/Staudt moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 2-0.
The Board will review claims individually after the meeting.
The Board discussed storage space needs.Supv Staudt visited with the CountyEngineer about cleaning out some specific items in his crib.The Treasurer’s office has cleaned out their crib and have offered to share their space.The Custodian has been working on cleaning out a room in the basement to possibly store the Sheriff’s items.
The CountyAttorney informed the Board that they need to implement an ordinance to be able to issue a CountyLicense.
The Board noted the resignation of Jamie Ballantine-Home Health Aide effective April 14, 2006.
The Board noted the receipt of a loan agreement for the Southwest Bypass TIF District for Custom Wood Products, Inc.
The Board discussed the letter from Community Development regarding cleaning of the north parking lot.The County’s custodians already take care of this parking lot.
The Board discussed the letter from the Iowa DOT regarding the Iowa’s Great Saints Weekend Adventure Planning Meeting on April 27 at the CC Library.The event is being planned for June 16-18.Supv Staudt will attend the meeting if available or Supv Dunkel will attend if Staudt cannot.
Future agenda items:Assigning Supervisor to be ex-officio for Airport Authority, reviewing mileage rates, Solutions presentation on May 9 for new services.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dunkel and seconded by Supervisor Staudt to adjourn.Motion carried 2-0.
