The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met for workshop at on Monday, May 1, 2006 in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance:Chairman Staudt. Supv. Dunkel, and Supv. Enabnit.
Enabnit/Dunkel moved to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried 3-0.
The Board discussed whether or not the County should temporarily or permanently increase mileage rate from the current $.33/mile.A decision will be made at the next regular meeting.
The Auditor updated the Board on a request to help fund the Rockford Cemetery Association.One option is to contact the township trustees to learn about a $.0675 levy for maintenance of non-owned cemeteries.Another option is to provide a list of indigent veterans buried in the cemetery from which the Board can approve to pay for care of graves at a rate of $7.50/veteran/year.The requester has been notified of these options.
The Board noted the hiring of Carol Carson as a part-time Home Health Aide with the PH/HHC agency starting May 1, 2006 at $8.40 per hour.
Future agenda items:Budget appropriations, Engineer’s response on Rotary Park Road and Wedgewood Estates Place road problems, disposition of items.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dunkel and seconded by Supervisor Enabnit to adjourn.Motion carried 3-0.
