The Fossil and Prairie Center is located at the Fossil & Prairie Park, 2 miles west of Rockford on County Road B47. The center is open weekends in May 1-4 p.m., Memorial Day-Labor Day everyday 1-4 p.m. and weekends in September 1-4 p.m. The Park is open everday from sunrise to sunset through the months of September-October.
