About the Office

The Floyd County Engineer is appointed by the Floyd County Board of Supervisors. The Engineering Office supervises planning and maintenance of all county secondary roads including bridges, culverts, and drainage districts through the Secondary Road Department. The office reports budgets and other annual reports to the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Floyd County Board of Supervisors.

The Cedar Valley Transportation Center (CVTC) is where the State, County and City of Charles City are based.  It is open from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located at 600 18th St., Charles City, IA 50616.
