Floyd County Attorney Rachel Ginbey has submitted her resignation as Floyd County Attorney effective March 12. The Floyd County Board of Supervisors are seeking her replacement by appointment:

OF FLOYD COUNTY ATTORNEY BY APPOINTMENT
Notice is hereby given that on Monday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m., the Floyd County of Board of Supervisors will fill the vacancy of the Floyd County Attorney by appointment pursuant to Code of Iowa §69.14A(2)(a). The Board will convene in the EOC/Training Room located on the ground floor of the Courthouse/Law Enforcement Center, 101 S Main St, Charles City, Iowa.
Eligible electors of Floyd County have the right to file a petition with the County Auditor requiring that the vacancy be filled by special election. The petition requires a minimum of 809 signatures of eligible electors in Floyd County and must be filed within 14 days after publication of this notice or within 14 days of the actual appointment.
For Applicants: Interested eligible electors shall be a resident of the county at the time of appointment. A cover letter, including how the applicant intends to fill the position, and a resume must be delivered to the office of Floyd County Auditor, Floyd County Courthouse, 101 S Main St, Ste 302, Charles City, IA 50616 or e-mailed to gcarr@floydcoia.org no later than 4 p.m. on March 17. All documents are public records. The Board of Supervisors may conduct interviews with potential applicants prior to March 27.
